Summary
Twenty-four year old Harry Styles thought he’d left his small town and small-minded high school classmates forever. But he and his high school sweetheart, Louis – who he planned to marry as soon as they had enough money to afford the wedding – move back home to save money after post-grad college graduation. He ends up applying for (and getting!) the position of drama teacher at the same high school where he fought the administration to be the first boy to run for Homecoming Queen, seven years earlier.
When he finds himself facing the same sort of bigotry and harassment from a fellow teacher and a school board chairperson that he previously endured from his high school bully, he knows he’s going to fight the patriarchy once again – not for himself this time, but for the students that rely on him to create a safe place and who want to perform RENT as the school’s spring musical. So much for a quiet year of saving money for their wedding.
