Summary
“We hadn’t finished yet. I was trying to prove that you are –“
He stops suddenly, turning back to you.
You stop suddenly too and when his breath falls in your face, you realize there are just a few centimeters between the two of you.
When did he got so tall?
Were those new freckles?
“I know what you are trying to do and is not going to work”, you smile, confident.
“Why so sure?”
He approaches his face more and you don't have the willpower to step back.
“Because I won’t let you. You want to make me look like an idiot, and I’m not. I’m not jealous of you petting cats or any other magical beast. Cats can have you whenever they want, because the rest of the time, you are all mine”, he spats, with a grave (and rude) tone at the end, a tone that makes you shiver all over and not because of the breeze that suddenly blows.
Your heart suddenly started drumming in your chest harder than it was necessary.
Or:
Sebastian gets jealous of you petting every cat you encounter.

Summary
You smile back at her.
“I see that you are still rude”.
“And you are still sensible about it”.
You chuckled, looking at the grass under your feet.
“You haven’t changed a bit, Imelda”, and you can see how saying her name after so much time does something to her.
It does something to you too. It makes you remember the promise of writing to her after graduation and doing the opposite.
It reminds you of the light kisses in the dark.
The flying advices disguised as complaints.
Maybe that’s why she is rude to you. Because you didn’t even send a letter to her in fifteen years and now you are trying to act like nothing changed.
Maybe she was right for once.
Or:
You and Imelda see each other after a long time and of course, you have to cause trouble.

Summary
“What are you doing out here?”, you asked suddenly, when you stepped into the wooden floor of the Summoner’s Court game.
Leander turned around and with a surprised expression, looked at you for a second, before blinking and standing straight.
You smiled at him while his face became…a little bit red.
Wait, why was he blushing?
“Challenging you to a game of Summoner’s Court. I think it's time you faced a real opponent – outside of Ronen’s little lesson in Charms class. Summoner’s Court isn’t just a game, it’s a battle of skill, a test of a witch or wizard’s mettle. What say?”
He smirks a little at the end and for a second or two (maybe is the sun or the breeze) you think your heart skips a beat and the words “he is kind of adorable from this angle” appear in your head.
You blink and he is waiting for your answer, so you smile back at him, trying to act like you didn’t just have a weird thought about a classmate.
“I’m in. Let’s do it”.
Or:
Your Summoner's Court match with Leander ends up with a date in Hogsmeade.

Summary
Without a word, you extend your hand.
When he realizes there is a hand in front of him, he looks up and when his eyes find you, he is more than confused.
He blinks at you behind his circular glasses, and you smile softly at him.
“C’mon”.
“I don’t like –“.
“I know, but I’ll be right next to you, I promise”.
He frowns, between scared and indecisive.
He then looks at you again, sighing.
“You promise?”
“I swear on Merlin’s Beard”.
“Oh, poor of his beard”.
Or:
The art of holding hands without anyone noticing as a form of ancient comfort with Duncan.

Summary
Once he was at the door, he turned to the two of you and spoke loud and clear.
“Just to be clear”, Ominis started and you two made silence to hear him out, “fighting like an old married couple without being actually married is the first step to getting married”.
And there was silence for a second until another reaction happened.
Sebastian was insulting him in a very Scottish way before Ominis chuckled and exited the Room of Requirement.
Or:
You and Sebastian have another petty fight in front of Ominis, but he has the solution to make you stop.
