Summary
Spirit box, night vision goggles, portable camera, torches, holy water. Eli went through his mental checklist as he rifled furiously through the boot of the car. He’d found most of what he was looking for, but a couple items had eluded his searching gaze. Eli had spent several weeks working up the nerve to ask Victor to accompany him, despite the fact he had been willingly joining him on his escapades for weeks prior. Something curious had overcome his roommate after their last ghost hunting adventure, a willingness, as Eli would put it- at least whenever he was involved.

Victor had noticed Eli slip out the door at 3pm, but he’d thought nothing of it. It wasn’t his job to be concerned about his whereabouts every minute- even though he saw Eli take a camera with him, even though he couldn’t help but feel a pang of distress at the thought of not going somewhere with him. It’s not like they were inseparable… although these days it was starting to seem like it.

Summary
Victor nods in understanding. They were on the way out to a local pub to “celebrate their achievements” as Angie had brightly put it the day before. It was almost the summer, and they’d survived the long, grueling exam period. Whilst Victor wasn’t altogether looking forward to any sort of large social gathering, he was going to put on a good face and act polite, just for Eli.
