Summary
Frenchie takes a breath and then shoves his arms out in front of him before Izzy. “Ta-da,” he says weakly.
Izzy just stares. “The fuck is that?” He finally asks. Frenchie looks at it too, the soft bulbous body and head with droopy ears and stitched-on, off-kilter face, with a bow around its neck.
“It’s, uh, a soft little animal?” Frenchie tries. “That you can just hold? I wanted to make a unicorn, but thought that’d be too complicated, so it’s a dog instead.” The room is silent for a long moment, Frenchie waiting tensely while Izzy keeps staring at it.
(Or, 5 times Frenchie tries to court Izzy and fails, and 1 time it works.)

Summary
“How do you remember?” Frenchie asks, almost a whisper, holding the scarf like it’s something precious. Because it is, because Izzy gave it to him, and yet Izzy is acting like this isn’t the biggest deal ever.
Izzy finally pushes his chair back and turns to look at him properly. “Was I not supposed to?” He asks with confusion. Frenchie shakes his head in disbelief.
“Iz, you—” Frenchie manages to get out, before he sets the scarf reverently back down on the chair, and then he’s striding over to Izzy who lifts his eyebrows. I love you I love you I love you Frenchie says in his mind like a prayer, and then he leans down to plant his lips on Izzy’s so he doesn’t speak them aloud.
(Or, it's Izzy's turn to give something to Frenchie, and Frenchie has a lot of Feelings about it. And then they fuck about it.)
