Summary
The two were sat in the rather extravagant lounge area of Rhinedottir’s home. It had taken an absurd amount of begging for Alice to convince Rhinedottir to indulge in a few drinks with her. She was meant to be celebrating after all. The creation of a fully functioning flower out of near nothing seemed like it would demand several bottles of wine in celebration even if Rhinedottir’s goal of creating an actual human was still far out of reach.

“I was preoccupied not dying.”
“It’s been almost a year! People say you’ve been spotted laying low in bars and taverns, that you’ve still been messing around with the khemia stuff! I’m sure you would’ve found time if you had any intent of contacting me.”
Alice jabbed her finger accusingly into Rhinedottir’s chest, and Rhinedottir flinched. She felt so sore. She didn’t have any energy for dealing with Alice’s emotional outburst.

“What would you have to be annoyed about?” Rhinedottir brought her hands down to rest on Alice’s thighs “I came to your weird island getaway. Like you asked.” Her fingers dug into the flesh, not nearly enough to bruise, especially not Alice “I let you help me with my newest creation. Like you asked.”
In one movement Rhinedottir’s leg shifted again, an inch too close and Alice sucked in a sharp breathe.
“Wait-!”
“I even abandoned my research, even for just a moment. Like you asked.”

Albedo ate silently as Alice fixed his small ponytail. Alice adored doing Albedo’s hair, it was a lovely dusty blonde, almost the exact same shade as Alice’s. Though it was much softer. Unnaturally soft, like feathers- which isn’t unnatural…
