Summary
Slowly, he opened his eyes, wincing against the bright light of the candles. They seemed to be burning even brighter now, casting long, sinuous shadows across the room. But that isn't what catches his attention.
In the middle of the circle, floating inches off of the ground, is a man. No, not a man. A demon. The candlelight reflects off of his glistening honey skin, making it seem as if he's made of liquid. His features are sharp and angular, like he was carved from the coldest part of hell. His eyes are pools of inky darkness, and his smile reveals rows of... human-like teeth? He's naked, except for a short robe tied around his waist, his muscles taut and defined, and he radiates an aura of power and malice.
"Who dares to summon me?" the demon hisses, his voice a mixture of fury and amusement. His eyes fall onto Jake, and he grins. "Ah, a mortal. It must have been you who called upon me. Tell me, boy, what is it you seek? You must have quite the wish."
