Description:

In the frozen country of Rovanikka, there were once twelve gods, the Jerihivan. For reasons buried beneath the snow, the creator deities, the Stellae, sentenced the Jerihivan and the people of Rovanikka to death three hundred years ago by a suspiciously fatal blizzard, known as the Catastrophe. Not only did it devastate the endless tundra, but it affected neighboring countries to the south; most notably, Icenia, whose isolationism for the sake of security has transformed into tyranny, trampling upon the poor and marginalized for the sake of "order."

The descendants of the Jerihivan lived on after the brutal executions of their people and parents, morphing into two conflicting factions, the Vaupauta and Jatkuva, who supposedly don't quite know why they are at war. Jouseppi "Jo" Renrusl is the sickly son of the Vaupauta's head, Lord Aksel Renrusl, doubly the commander of an organized rebellion against Icenia's government, nicknamed Burgheard. On top of dismantling Burgheard, he, a man of many, many secrets, seeks to "release Rovanikka from its frozen chains." Jo finds himself in the middle of all this chaos, trying to stay alive and unearth his father's mysteries, and nothing, he learns, is ever what it before seemed.
