Summary
“Are you sure you want to go?” JD asked, looking ahead at the path Rhonda was running while he drank his coffee. He was used to driving with one hand, in part because Rhonda was practically autonomous.
“That's the fifth time you've asked,” Floyd complained, tuning his guitar.
The older brother grimaced before taking a sip of his coffee, making the younger brother sigh.
“It's just a visit” Floyd clarified, seeking to reassure his older brother.

Summary
Floyd has come to visit them a couple more times in the months that the siblings have been imprisoned, Velvet was never seen, but that didn't stop them. In fact it made Veneer and Floyd get used to just being the two of them.
“I really don't understand,” Velvet sputtered, filing her nails disdainfully, “It's been months and that troll won't stop meddling, what's his problem?”
“You could consider the fact that we became friends.” Veneer replied, preparing a letter of his own to send to the troll, full of glitter and stickers.
Velvet, for the first time, considered it.
