Jason bites his lip and cringes back in on himself. He looks away, out the window, into the sunlight, scared of Tim's judgment.
He feels Tim give him an encouraging squeeze, "C'mon, we both know I like your mean streak now, so lemme hear it. Bet it's not even all that out there."
He mumbles, "It definitely is though."
"Okay but what if it's not? What if I love it?"
"What if you don't?"
"Then I say no thanks. I know you. I know you're not gonna hurt me any way I don't want you to, not like this."

Summary
Tim's expression as he gets into position is a gorgeous mix of giddy anticipation and delicious fear. It makes Jason feel electrically ravenous, and it is the most gloriously freeing thing to get to let his own sadistic glee show with a matching, utterly predatory grin.
He lines himself up in proper stance, then winds his front leg up and kicks Tim in the stomach with that steel toe. He's going for hard enough to really make it hurt, while still leaving room to ramp up.
Tim knows how to take a hit. He breathes through it with his abs tensed, only stumbling back a few steps.
"Harder."
He snaps his leg up faster this time, putting more muscle in.
This time Tim hisses in pain and immediately Jason can see that he's leaving marks, red that will bruise spectacularly by the time they're done.

Summary
Tim finishes his work and looks around with the quick and jerky motions of a rabbit or a shrew or any of those tiny creatures who are used to being ever watchful for predators. That desirous thrill solidifies into a familiar shape as Jason ducks out of his sight.
He wants to hunt.
