Summary
When you hit rock bottom, you think you can’t go any lower. Which was the original reason Izuku was taking quirk awakening drugs, to hopefully find out he had a quirk and wasn’t a quirkless loser. But not long after he realised that, like any drug, it was addictive and didn’t have obvious downsides. So he didn’t stop taking them until the eventful day all might passed down his quirk to him, which was a massive wake up call. He had something to live for, and taking quirk enhancing drugs on top of a quirk that would most likely cause him to explode if he didn’t gain enough muscle anyway, was too much of a risk.
But that didn’t last long, it would be wrong to not take them when his classmates and teachers were being put in danger when he could be saving them.
