In ancient times it is said the Dark Trolls settled around the Well of Eternity, a decision that would see them grow and evolve into highly intelligent beings who came to call themselves The Kaldorei or Children of the Stars. But they were not the only ones to evolve from such primitive beginnings. This is the story of others who unlike their Kaldorei cousins chose a different way, who formed bonds with beings known as dragons who were gifted their own lands by the Aspects themselves within their own lands, a land they called Aran'dal.

The Arandali as they came to call themselves, built a vast city much different from those of their cousins. A land where mortal and dragon lived in harmony, learning from one another, forming bonds that would carry on over the centuries, beyond the War of the Ancients, across the Great Sea and into the times we now know in Azeroth. This is a story of the Descendants of Aran'dal, specifically the family known by the name of Sunwalker.

Welcome to the series Descendants of Aran'dal. Over the years I've made many characters in WoW and discovered even before I moved into RP realms that I was dreaming up backstories of my characters. Those stories have grown and changed from the beginning but then I realized (mostly through RP) that they had so much more to share than I can write in a TRP and thus this series is coming to life. The history of this imaginary land is my own way of giving this 'family' of alts their own stories to share and I hope you will enjoy their journey with me. As noted in the description, it is an AU and no Aran'dal does not exist in cannon. The name actually came about because I kept typing Arandal instead of Anar'endal, or Anar'endal Dracon which is Thalassian for Breath of the Dragon. I love dragons and wanted to find a way to incorporate them into my little 'family' somehow and so my stories were born. Once again fair warning, I will follow cannon for the most part (well sort of) unless I need to bend it to suit the story or when including cannon characters (which I will).
