He was used to being overlooked, or only picked out because of some undefinable otherness. He'd rarely ever been noticed for himself, as Clark Kent, and he'd thought this was different.

The Plan had been simple. Get close to Superman. Find out what made him tick. Do reconnaissance. There hadn't been, well, that was a lie, but he hadn't expected that faking a romantic relationship would come into play. That part of the whole situation, Bruce could admit, probably hadn't been for the best.
