“You left early,” she commented with a sigh, coming to stand between his open legs. “We played Sanct and the loser had to drink two glasses of wine. It was fun,” she giggled, and Kell smiled.
“I wasn’t in the mood to drink that much nor to play,” he admitted, and it was Lila’s turn to raise her eyebrows at him. “I hate this humid weather and the wine warms me up,” he didn’t say that he was also wallowing in self-pity because of his powers, but she might have known.
