Ren never wanted to set foot in Inazuma again. He had left his past behind, creating a new life for himself in Sumeru. He had no regrets, at least none that he would acknowledge out loud. Even when his sister took the throne instead of him and shut the kingdom down, cutting off all travel and trade, he never even thought of going back. Let her drive the kingdom to ruin. What would he care?
Then, the stories started circulating. Tales of people who had escaped Inazuma. Accounts of an oppressive, tyrannical queen, destroying the kingdom he once called home. He didn’t think he cared, but deep down, he did. He decided to return to the kingdom once more to try and find a way to take down his sister. Hopefully, he would avoid the other memories of his past as the Crown Prince of Inazuma.
Unfortunately, it was just his luck that the first face he encounters is that of a white haired knight, his one regret from leaving the nation. A secret crush he had never done more than pine for in the secret dark of night. Kaedehara Kazuha.——
