Psychology is an anthology-style exploration of the evolving relationship between Will Graham and Hannabelle Lecter, set within an alternate version of the canon universe. It is still set in the modern world, but in my version Will was born in 1975 and Hannabelle was born in 1965 (which inevitably led me to changing the flavour of her trauma and drive).

Each instalment is a self-contained story, complete with its own arc, yet contributes to a larger narrative. Together, they delve into the characters’ complex dynamics, as well as glimpses into their pasts before they crossed paths.

I chose to genderbend Hannibal to Hannabelle because making her female allowed me to explore certain dynamics that, in my opinion, wouldn’t have worked as effectively if Hannibal remained male. This shift adds new dimensions to her relationships and motivations, enriching the themes I wanted to delve into in this series.

This story has been years in the making—a labour of love and a way for me to explore certain topics within the safety of a (fan)fictional world of my own design. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. :)
