Because Izuku and his thoughts weren’t necessarily on speaking terms at the moment. At least, not on speaking terms in the case that his thoughts weren’t saying things that Izuku really wanted to hear.
She was a petty bitch like that. And that meant that the two of them didn’t and couldn’t...get along.
Being that petty bitch of a self that she was, the thoughts that floated through Izuku’s head seemed to expect him to give her time and attention and...effort...and to trust her not to hurt him…
It was kind of fucking rude, if you asked him.
Because they both knew she would. She always did. In the end the petty bitch that she was, and always would be, would inevitably hurt Izuku whether he decided to do something or not. Didn’t seem to matter to her.

Apartments, it seemed, were scarce. And so Shouta was somewhat forced to make due with the small little alcoves and respite spots that were tucked throughout the city. And that got surprisingly expensive. With not resources other than what he could carry and keep in his locker at the police station, where he often met with Tsukauchi for his next cases (agencies weren’t really a thing for most underground heroes just starting out), he couldn’t store perishable foods, nor stock up on his jelly packets that he’d favored of late since they were an easy and portable meal.
That meant spending money on food every day.
It also meant making a decision between trying to find a hotel room (always overpriced) or trying to squirrel away enough money to finally get back into a place of his own.
Thank god for his sleeping bag…Series

Izuku’s hands were shaking as he secured the last few edges with tape.
The boy’s eyes blurred as he tried to steady himself and stop the cough as it whistled behind his teeth, bile and blood burbling in his throat and regret coiled tightly in his stomach at the shitty job this was turning out to be.
But why the hell was he doing this again anyway?
The boy’s eyes stung as the clock read 4:45 am.
Shit.
He needed to hurry. He didn’t…
He didn’t have time for this. There was only so long before the sun would be rising, and they would know he’d been up and that he’d been here and…
There was just, there was too much to do and just not enough fucking time to waste on something as stupid as this.
Because it was stupid.

‘But wasn’t it?’
Wasn’t it always his fault?
Wasn’t he going to be torn apart because of it? And that quirk taken away from him if Father had his way?
Just like he was torn apart and put back together to…to create what he had in the first place?
