The words were hard to form, as if several concepts were waging war in his mind and he was struggling to identify the one that best reflected his questioning. Viktor knew who he was, he just wasn't sure what he'd become, inside and out. Because while this metal armour, this synthetic flesh, was almost entirely foreign to him, there was also this... this presence in his mind. Not yet a voice, not a silhouette, but indecipherable whispers that seemed to pulse to the same rhythm as the echoes in his limbs and the light in his vision.

Viktor regains consciousness in a body that is unfamiliar to him, his sensations and feelings muzzled. According to the voice in his mind, only the Hexcore can show him the way to salvation.
