A little bit about the story.

 

Petra Pike is a 27-year-old wealthy and successful CEO with striking wavy black hair, green eyes, and a commanding presence. At 5’11, she exudes confidence, sophistication, and power, fitting seamlessly into the high-stakes world of business. Despite her polished and formidable exterior, she has a softer side, particularly when it comes to those she cares about.

Sawyer LaRue, 23, is a whimsical and passionate fantasy children’s book author who also works at a cozy bookstore called Little Wonders in New York. With auburn curls, brown eyes, and a love for all things fantasy—especially dragons—she embodies warmth and creativity. Having come from a difficult and neglectful childhood, she is independent, resilient, and deeply sentimental, often seeking comfort in books and stories.

Their paths cross when Petra enters Little Wonders looking for a gift for her teenage sister, Sofia. From the start, there is an undeniable spark between them, fueled by their contrasting yet complementary personalities—Petra’s sharp sophistication meets Sawyer’s dreamy charm. Over time, their relationship deepens into something both intense and heartfelt, with Petra introducing Sawyer to a world of luxury she never imagined, while Sawyer brings out a more tender, playful side of Petra.

Despite their differences in background and lifestyle, they share a strong emotional bond, filled with passion, banter, and deep affection. Petra is fiercely protective of Sawyer, while Sawyer challenges Petra to embrace vulnerability and spontaneity. Their love story is one of contrasts—power and gentleness, ambition and creativity—woven together in a way that makes them both stronger.
