Summary
He was happy—everything he’d worked for and dreamed about had come true. He’d reached so high, almost touching the stars, but something was still missing. He’d pushed through, fought, and made it, but the feeling of fulfillment just left a void. No matter how much he tried to ignore it, he missed Nakit. It felt off to brush against the stars without grabbing one to hold onto and bring home. He missed Sky. He missed that warmth he fought so hard not to feel, but damn, did he want to feel it now. But it felt strange. How does he go back home and fit into a family he technically created? How does he go home and open his arms to a family whose embrace he’s rejected? Would they even welcome him back? Is he allowed to hope for that? How selfish can he be in this moment?

Summary
Nani’s trying to be a better dad to Nakit, even though he feels like he’s constantly messing up. He’s been making small efforts, but every little mistake seems to remind him of how far he has to go. No matter how many mistakes he makes, he’s determined to keep going because he wants to be the dad and partner Sky and Nakit deserve. The weight of the past still lingers, but he’s ready to do what it takes to move forward, together.
