Summary
"Oh my god, shitkid, are you rutting right now?" Viquemare asks - demands, really - and Kim feels his heart drop. He hadn't even really considered it. In the year they'd been together, Harry hadn't had a rut, not even in response to Kim's heat. He'd assumed Harry was too old, already through the hormonal pause, and hadn't given it any further thought, but now that he was thinking about it, it made too much sense.
The constant scent-marking, the way he stuck close to Kim's back, the glaring, the growling. It all speaks of an alpha in prerut, and Vicquemare getting into Kim's space has kicked it off in a big way. He's now nuzzling Kim's hair and making sweet little cooing noises.

Summary
Kim's sure his own scent has become overlayed with his own agitation, a burning spice that clashes with the natural citrus notes. Harry had told him once that Kim's anger is the worst smell in the world, and Kim had rolled his eyes. In a way, he's grateful - the agitating spiciness is sure to drown out the faint hints of pine that had begun to creep into his scent.
Immediately, Harry's whole demeanour changes, and he sort of huddles down a bit and drops his eyes. He submits to Kim's anger, murmurs an apology that makes Kim sigh. If he, Kim, were an alpha, would Harry dominate him like he had Vicquemare
