After her friends and parents betray her by believing Lila, Marinette gets offered to be a direct apprentice under Audrey Bourgeois. The only other person besides Adrien that believes her. She decides she has nothing left in Paris and decides to pursue her career as a designer. She cuts off everyone, and blooms as a designer.
Seven years later, she returns to Paris with Audrey. Her decision having had unexpected consequences on Paris.
(An AU in which Marinette decided to go to New York with Audrey Bourgeois. In this AU Marinette and her classmates were in the age range of 16/17 during Style Queen, and instead Style Queen happens right after Marinette gets expelled because of Lila. Making her decision to leave Paris easier. Also in this fic Audrey is BAMF, a HBIC. Marinette needs a good feminine role model to look up too and I rewrote Audrey to change her attitude after Style Queen. Also in this AU Hawkmoth/Gabriel sticks with his plan to retire)

After her life falls apart, her friends and parents betray her by believing Lila. Marinette, believing she has nothing left in Paris, takes the apprenticeship under Audrey Bourgeois that had split her heart in two. She cuts off everyone, and her connections to Paris. Giving up her role as Ladybug. Quickly, under the guidance and motherhood of Audrey, she blooms into the designer she had dreamed of becoming.
Seven years later, Marinette finally makes her return to Paris for Paris Fashion Week, where she is headlining her first line, independent from the Bourgeois brand. She quickly learns that her decision to leave had deeper consequences, not just on Paris for losing their Lady, but on a certain now stray cat.
