N/A are (secretly) together, Neil sees Andrew hooking up w another dude at bar, he is upset and soon leaves, telling himself his feelimgs r stupid bc theyre unlabeled so not actually mutually exclusive n also qndrew probs thinms the other dude is way hotter than neil bc hes nor covered in scars, etc..
Andrew is upset bc the hook up was one of his many forms of self sabotage, he catches up to neil again later and says it wont happen again, bc he doesnt want to hook up with someone else, and he thinks the issue is now resolved n neil knows andrew onky wants to be with him
but neil thinks oh ok that means ur actually going to tell me when ur going to hook up so i dont worry u got kidnapped n murdered when u disappear w/o a word at the bar, that is good bc i was rlly worried when he disappeared , annnd he still doesnt think he deserves to want andrew to be exclusive with him
he thinms that their unlabeled togetherness is more just a sort of convenience 4 andrew, n it doesnt matter how much it means 2 neil or that neil has negative desire to 'be' with anybody else bc he just loves qndrew, and then hes suddenly sad again thw next time theyre at a bar, so then andrew finds out what been on his mind n hes like ohhh fuk no u idiot, u didnt get it??! i am with u, and only u
rlly rlly well written diff POVs on both their c diff mindsets that leading to multiple misunderstnading in communications n where they stand w eqch other (and does eventually get to be fully resolved yay!)
