It was hardly a tail’s length away when she stopped, hesitating just a moment before striking.
Clearly, she had hesitated much too long, or perhaps just long enough, to see a flash of fur, unnaturally pink in color. It took up her vision, mixed in with a tad bit of red rodent’s blood.
She flinched back with a quiet squeak that she hoped the unfamiliar cat hadn’t heard- but the way the much taller cat turned towards her, their pale but bright green eyes focused immediately on her.
The cat was a little dramatic- jumping back and facing right towards ButterflyPaw, fur standing and tail raised high.
“Who are you!!!!! Show yourself!!!”

MistWhisper was made a warrior very early into his training. He was hardly 8 moons old when he managed to fight and completely mangle a fox by himself, and was awarded with a promotion.
His now former mentor, WindClaw, accompanies him to his first gathering. But he has a bad feeling about the Thunderclan warrior that one of his clanmates is chattering with.
And his bad feeling was right!

This was one of the few times he’s seen Adder without it—half of those other times were accidental glimpses, the other half were voluntarily but short-lived.
They’re finally getting more comfortable.. that’s good. It’ll be able to rest properly.
Now, WindClaw lets himself rest, settling his throat onto the moss bedding, his eyes briefly scanning every inch they can reach, before he slowly lets himself drift off as well.
