Summary
The first time that Kiki watched Namari’s practiced, precise weapon maintenance, it was out of curiosity and nothing more. She was entranced by the way that the nicks in the axe’s blade disappeared beneath the whetstone. She was in awe of how it shone once it was polished.
It didn’t take long, however, for Kiki to realize that there was something more to her interest. Something deeper. Namari’s hands were rough from the forge, callused and strong, but when she cared for her weapon, her touch was delicate and loving. She caressed the axe with an admiration Kiki was unused to seeing from her dwarven companion, and it made something hot and eager flare in the pit of her stomach.
