Summary
Kai Monteago was a spectacle.
He had known it since he was old enough to understand how people saw him— not just as a person, but as a thing. A creation. A beautiful, fragile thing. With delicate wings that shimmered in the sunlight, Kai had always been the center of attention.

Summary
The mirror was unkind in the morning.
Wolfgang Akire stood before it, running a towel through his damp hair, watching how the dark navy strands clung to his forehead before he pushed them back. The colour held well— no white peeking through at the roots yet. Good.
His lilac eyes flickered downward, settling on the sandpaper resting beside the sink. His fingers twitched.

Summary
Ulysses remembered the weight of the hands.
Years had passed since then— since rough fingers had dug into his arms, since his frail body had been pressed into the dirt. The scent of damp wood and blood still clung to the edges of his memory, sharp as the sting of metal slicing through flesh.

Summary
The world had never been kind to Desmond Hall.
He learned that early.
Before he even understood what prejudice was, he could feel it— the wary stares, the way adult hands tightened around their children's wrists when he passed, the hushed conversations that softened just enough to make sure he caught the end of them.
• "Hybrid Hearts VN" intro fic for Desmond Hall, the shark hybrid with a pacifist mindset and the steadiest hands.

Summary
Diana Venicia had always been good at disappearing.
Not just in the way all chameleon hybrids could— not just in the way her skin could shift to match the world around her, not just in the way her presence could shrink to nothing at will— but in the way she had learned to.
To fade. To adjust. To exist in the spaces between, where no one had to acknowledge what she really was.
• "Hybrid Hearts VN" intro fic for Diana Venicia-Akire, the chameleon hybrid who wants to stop blending in.

Grace Madison had never been good at sitting still.
Never been good at keeping her mouth shut, either.

Wenona didn’t believe in soft things.
Softness could be broken.
Caring too much, showing too much, letting your heart get tangled in things— it made a person weak. It gave people something to take from you.

Summary
Cassidy Amber was used to walls.
Four walls. A ceiling. A locked door.
She knew every inch of her apartment like the back of her hand—like the sharp points of her fangs, like the segmented joints of her arachnid half, like the weight of the world pressing her deeper into isolation.
Outside wasn’t for her.

He had talent. He knew that much. His beats hit hard, his mixes were good, and the underground scene knew his name.

Summary
The helmet stayed on, even in the garage.

Not yet.
