Notes:

I’d planned to continue this with Richard and Di discovering, after their engagement, the truth about the diamond and the will — that the Count’s curse was meant for those who had harmed his son, not his descendants. After the revelation, Richard would make Jeffrey the new Earl.

But honestly, there’s been so little enthusiasm or encouragement for part two of my fic that I only finished it out of principle — because I never abandon my works. Continuing a fic that seems to have no readers but the author herself feels rather fruitless. The act of posting itself starts to feel like a burden when there’s barely any external validation.

Still, if I ever return to this fandom, the sequel to this series will be the first thing I write.
