"You're number—47—in roman numerals," 38 translated for 47 before shoveling more food in his mouth.

"Where's 38? I've been waiting by the truck for ages," Mikey complained, plopping down in one of the kitchen chairs.
47 frowned and looked over at the clock on the stove which said 3:53 PM. "Plan was to leave at four."
"Well, I was hoping the timeline had moved up," Mikey replied sourly.
XL took a cleansing breath and pulled on patient smile. "38's in the tool shed making sure he's added everything needs to the list in order to repair the roof and we're just finishing up the grocery list." In some ways having a Mikey around to pull attention away from XL was useful.
