“Go ahead and order first, my order’s kinda long,” Kotone nods, leaning back into the chair.
“Oh, don’t worry!” Yukari reassures the brunette as she turns towards the server, “I’ll have one ichigo latte, and she’ll have one caramel macchiato with a pump of vanilla, an extra shot of espresso, whipped cream on top, and make sure to make it with soy milk instead of whole milk.”
Kotone’s mouth is agape in shock. Every word came out of the archer’s mouth without even a single stutter. She can’t stop staring at the girl beside her. In fact, she feels like she hasn’t been this stunned since Shirakawa - and that was a whole other situation she would rather not think about right now, but it’s so hard to not when her entire order was recited like it was a goddamn prayer.

Kotone was hungry.
Not just hungry. Absolutely famished. She felt herself get lost in work today, and in her busy trance she forgot the most important things in the world: food. Her stomach was practically barking at her to have something. Normally she would get up, limp over to her kitchen, and make a sandwich worthy of being displayed in a Michelin star restaurant. However, this was nothing remotely near normal. No, this was a situation of national importance!
Yukari was sleeping on her.
