Summary
After the spell cast by Doctor Strange, Peter loses all memory of his past life. He is no longer Peter; he has no name, no memories, no identity. The first thing he feels is cold, an intense cold that chills him to the bone. He is freezing. Then the water engulfs him and he begins to drown.
When he finally wakes up, he doesn't know who he is or where he is. Although he understands what he is being told, he does not understand how this is possible. He recognizes the colors... or so he thinks. He only knows that a man dressed in black is taking him somewhere. Now he lives there, without knowing why or who he really is.

Summary
The first time Peter saw Cassandra, he recognized something familiar in her. It wasn’t her posture—though she was rigid, muscles tense like an animal ready to fight. It wasn’t her gaze—though there was an intensity in her eyes that spoke more of instinct and survival than of thoughts formed into words. It was something deeper. An echo of something he himself had felt for so long that he had almost stopped noticing it.
It was the feeling of being out of place in a world that wasn’t made for them.
Peter didn’t have many memories of his childhood before Gotham. There were fragments of images, shadows of voices he couldn’t name. He remembered hunger, cold, fear. He remembered running, fighting, learning that being faster and stronger meant surviving one more day. He remembered it in a visceral way, the same way Cassandra did. She didn’t quite fit into the Batfamily either. Not because they didn’t love her, but because there were parts of her they simply couldn’t understand.

The first time Peter saw Damian, he knew the kid was going to be a problem.
Not because he was Bruce’s biological son. Not because he came from a lineage of assassins. Not because he’d been trained from the cradle to kill. But because he was, quite simply, an insufferable brat.
Peter tried. He really did. When Damian arrived, he had just lost the father he never knew and had been ripped away from the world he’d been raised in. He was confused, furious, and—though he would never admit it—probably scared. Peter understood what it was like to lose everything and be thrown into a strange place where everyone expected you to adjust without question. So he was patient.
