   Summary

   The first time Peter saw Damian, he knew the kid was going to be a problem.

   Not because he was Bruce’s biological son. Not because he came from a lineage of assassins. Not because he’d been trained from the cradle to kill. But because he was, quite simply, an insufferable brat.

   Peter tried. He really did. When Damian arrived, he had just lost the father he never knew and had been ripped away from the world he’d been raised in. He was confused, furious, and—though he would never admit it—probably scared. Peter understood what it was like to lose everything and be thrown into a strange place where everyone expected you to adjust without question. So he was patient.
