I felt an irresistible urge to climb the stairs and tell him everything. But he likely still had much to do. I decided to wait a little longer.
Footsteps echoed in the hall, breaking the silence and my train of thought. Then came two knocks on the door—familiar knocks I had heard a hundred times before.
My heart skipped a beat.— Henry. You can come in."
This text takes place within the main plot of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
While our protagonists are under siege at the fortress of Suchdol, Henry is tasked with infiltrating enemy lines to escape and seek reinforcements. It is a desperate and extremely risky attempt—but it is the only way to win the war. The decision has been made. Hans would have wanted to accompany his dearest friend, but his noble status prevents him from doing so.
The meeting ends with this decision. Hans needs to be alone. He reflects on his relationship with Henry and how it has evolved over the past few weeks.
