Summary
The weather was colder in Snowdin- far past what it should be for the AU's normal- but it was simply a heavy winter. Nightmare had long put aside the question of seasons underground, he could never get the time or resources to properly look into it and only knowing a little bit of it would drive him mad. Though he hid in the treeline, there was no doubt in his mind that the starved monsters had already taken notice of his presence.

Summary
"Give it up Nightmare!" Ink shouted, the first thing Cross perceived as he closed his portal behind him. Blue and Dream were to his right, both sporting determined expressions straight ahead. Cross followed their gazes, instantly locking onto the dark form of Nightmare. They were on the main street of Snowdin, the crowd that frequented Grillby's now in front of the bar also staring at Nightmare- and the Stars. Nightmare- who looked the worst Cross had ever seen him. His eye was only half-open, his hoodie and shorts torn and covered in non-monster dust and mud. But his face was even, eyelight constantly moving between the Stars- but not Cross. He hadn't looked at Cross in months, though Cross could barely look away from him. Nightmare didn't respond to Ink, just blinked slowly as if just waking from a deep sleep.
