Donnie had come to acknowledge he was not important, not to everyone besides his father, which unfortunately didn't squash the icky feeling away.

He definitely didn't feel reassured after being exploded into molecules, but he could be just complaining.

His new adopted brothers will very much remind him that he does matter, but he could just be imagining it.

Notes:

This is a dimensions travel AU, I'm calling it ILYW AU, for easy tagging in my Tumblr. Basically a tmnt 12 and tmnt 03 with a very sad Donatello-centric for the first book or two, depending on the flow. 12 Donnie (and everyone else) definitely deserves better and I wanted to fix that in my own way.

It's a long road for recovery. For the teen and everyone else around him.
