Summary
“Well… you wanna try? There is no time like the present to learn.” She offered her hand out, her slightly bigger hand sweating for some reason. She didn’t pay any mind why.
Shery stared at her outstretched hand, thousand thoughts swirling in her head. Romelle just wished she could understand.
“It’s not a slow dance or anything. We’re just gonna groove.” Romelle joked, trying to at least make Shery crack a smile. She usually didn’t see the blonde smiling as wide as she should. She at least wanted to change that.

She also noticed something else. She didn’t think so at first but whenever Shery entered a room, Romelle seemed to straighten up and her cheerful violet eyes softened in a way she seemed not to recognize she was doing it herself.
“So… what’s going on between you two?” Ayla asked, gesturing towards Shery at the end of the table. “You hitting that?” She asked bluntly, making Romelle spit out her drink in a very dramatic fashion.
“What?” Romelle wheezed, cheeks turning red (The first time Ayla ever saw her blush). “No! No!” Romelle insisted, gulping. “We’re just friends. Plus… nothing good comes when you’re dating your coworker.” She stated but Ayla could see that she was trying to convince herself most of all.
It made her chest tighten for some reason. Why did the idea of Romelle and Shery bother her so much?

Her head shot up with the sound of the doors opening, a lazy smile fell into Romelle’s face as she realized who arrived.
It was Shery. Her Shery.
She seemed surprised to see her, her glasses getting foggy with the heat as she took them off, which made Romelle’s breath hitch.
She was the most beautiful sight she had ever seen.

“I-If it's not too much of a bother… Can I ask where did you get those scars?" Shery mumbled, ducking her head. Oh gods, this question wasn't too loaded was it? Would she hate her?
Romelle paused but her eyes didn't harden. She just looked a little… sheepish?
"They do look a little off, yeah?" She chuckled. "I didn't get them all in the same time, ya know. Just took different jobs, different stuff." Romelle shrugged.
