The day that Vox met with Alastor to ask him to join him as a partner in his Media takeover, there's a strange disturbance in the fabric of Hell. In one of the many, many timelines - in fact, in most of those timelines - Alastor laughs himself sick, breaking Vox down to nothing and setting him on his path to destroy Heaven, Hell, and all manner of sinners inbetween.

But in this timeline, in this world, Alastor says yes.

Encore of the Damned

Vox builds a future that finally works. Alastor returns like nothing was ever broken. Between them hangs seven years of silence, unfinished deals, and a devotion neither of them is willing to name.

They circle each other through blood, broadcast, and battlefield—each convinced the other has already chosen to walk away.

It is not a love story about confession.
It is a love story about restraint, misinterpretation, and the terrible damage done by wanting something too much to touch it.
