Summary
The Nephilim were not killed outright. They persisted, they had children of their own. Genes diluted until their descendants could no longer be called Nephilim. They branched into several groups - and one of them, born primarily of Penemue (the watcher who taught writing and the secrets of knowledge), became known as the Tall Men.
