Once upon a time I had an original idea with the Sands of Time, but it's going nowhere fast. So I'll dump it here, with this series where there's already time travel. Maybe I'll breathe life back into the original idea one day, but today is not that day.
For this series, however, Justice in Surrender will cover Inquisition storyline (AU though it is) unless I decide to chop it in half, and there will definitely be a sequel wherein it's my own creation entirely. Finally. This is why I didn't want to get into Inquisition in the first place; I didn't want to be confined to game dialogue and game restrictions so much because now I HAVE to deal with Corypheus and I HAVE to deal with Solas and I HAVE to do other things before I can do my own thing again and it's frustrating. Truly. It puts a damper on the whole creativity thing.
That being said, I have one-shots planned that take place prior to Justice in Surrender, during Justice in Surrender (as sort of what-if ideas that might have happened, what-if ideas that are missing scenes, etc.) and one-shot ideas that take place that might have happened, as I can't commit completely to anything until I finish Justice in Surrender which, let's face it, is going to be a long time in coming. Also, again, I do have a sequel planned which is entirely my creation, which I am excited about, whenever I finally get to it.
Also, a few quick notes:
--Not everything in this series is going to be correct. In my Mass Effect stories I made sure everything was perfect, game dialogue and stuff and all, and it was tiresome. I am not doing that here. I'm going mainly from memory on that parts I am incorporating, and everything else... deal with it. It's different. It's AU. Oh well. Don't like it, then don't read it, I really don't care.
--I say some of my stories 'might happen' because I can plan how my story will end, and write something that takes place after that, but then when I'm actually writing the end of the story, it will happen completely differently. So I can't commit to anything, so I say 'might happen'. It's gone down like that on several of my stories. The characters have a mind of their own, and that's how it should be. If they did everything I told them, I would be worried. So I can tell Callum 'hey, you should probably avoid that cliff' but then he's like 'no I got this, man, I'm the picture of grace' and then he's falling and Dorian's yelling at me, see? And then in the one-shot I wrote several months prior it has him all 'he never staggered even once on those cliffs' and see, I'm such a liar, because he just fell. So I say 'might happen'. Sorry about that. If that bothers you, I understand, and you don't have to read them, but I'm still going to probably post them.
--My 'what-if' stories might happen, might not happen. They might be canon to the series, might not be. They might be canon missing scenes from the story, might not be. I'll let you know in the beginning what they are, and if that bothers you and you then don't want to read it, that's fine. I just want to do more with the characters and share them, but you don't have to read them.
--I enjoy Emry as a character, so I have several one-shots for Callum and Emry's early years, which are definitely canon for the series. I also have some one-shots which are canon that take place during Justice in Surrender, from Emry's POV, since it's always Callum or Dorian's POV in that story. Just a heads up.
--I'll be introducing more OCs, hope that's not a problem. I try to give them their own personality if they're going to be important or I'm going to keep them around. I hope Emry isn't too boring. I enjoy him.
I think that's all for now, but if I think of anything else, I'll be sure to let you know. You've all been wonderful so far. Thanks for letting this story live, and hopefully now this series thrive :) Thanks so very much, I appreciate it.
