Summary
Michael wasn't sure when it started. He couldn't point out one singluar instance that could be dubbed as the start of all this. If you asked him to describe it, he might say it was something like a snowball effect. It started small, something nobody, not even himself noticed, until it cascaded, picking up speed and eventually became so overwhelmingly large that it squashed him like a bug underneath a shoe.
Maybe it started with the bad grade. Or perhaps, his father's irritated lecture. It might have been the time he made Evan upset because of his frustration.
