Summary
They were children.
That was their first mistake.
Before the sea, before the dreams, before the promises whispered under a stolen sky — there was Fushia. There was laughter. There was warmth.
And then there was the cage.
When Luffy, Ace and Sabo are taken from Dawn Island by men who promise opportunity and deliver chains, their world fractures in ways no child should survive. Sold into a hidden laboratory disguised as salvation, they become subjects in a project meant to rewrite the laws of Devil Fruits themselves.A polite scientist.A second chance.A lie.
Arlson does not seek to heal them.He seeks to break them.Fourteen months of experimentation.Artificial Devil Fruits born from violent deaths. A first love turned to ash. A will crushed but never erased.
Ace burns with guilt. Sabo goes cold and empty. Luffy — Luffy survives the impossible.
And a breaking point that will tear the laboratory apart. This is not the story of pirates chasing freedom. This is the story of what had to be destroyed before freedom could exist. Also on FFNet

Summary
This story is a sequel to Volume 1 Shattered Childhood and Volume 2 Ashes of Freedom.
Growing up under the protection of the strongest man in the world should have guaranteed Ace, Sabo, and Luffy a peaceful life. But that was without taking into account the youngest brother’s unfortunate habit of charging headfirst into trouble.
The victim of an incident that defies all logic, Luffy finds himself trapped in an impossible situation, forcing his found family to step in as full-time guardians. But time is a fickle concept, and to help their little brother through this new ordeal, Ace, Sabo, and the commanders will once again have to prove that their bond is stronger than anything else.
Starts with fluff, then hurt/comfort, then angst—hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt—and after that… who knows
