Summary
George should never have let it get to that point – not only because she knows him, is friends with him, but also because lying to Lando feels like this feels cruel, even though he is the single reason she didn’t have a full mental breakdown while frozen to the floor, skin itching and begging to shift in front of a room full of strangers that would have her ruin her entire career.
Disaster would’ve happened either way, is what she tells herself. Fooling Lando is the lesser of two evils, is what she tries to believe.
or the one where George is bigender, but Lando doesn't know. And he ends up falling for her, not a clue that the girl he fell for and his childhood friend are the same person.

Summary
It's fast, a blink-and-you-miss-it type of moment. There’s a sound too, like a sloshing kind of noise that must be due to all the cells in George’s body rearranging themselves. Max can feel it, in the palm of his hand where they touch, as the shape of George’s chins shifts into something new, less pointy but still strong and pronounced.
All his traces remain prominent as his face readjusts into one of a girl, the same one from before.
It’s obvious, now, that they’re the same. George and the girl. Both George.
She’s pretty, as much as George is. Because she’s George.
or the one where Max comes barreling into George's room for answers, and is only left with more questions. And George can turn into a girl.
