Summary
You read a comic, watch a cartoon, and whaddya know? Dying is all you needed to wake up in a fictional universe filled with superheroes and villains. It's that easy, no strings attached, and absolutely no refunds.
You work part-time at Burger Mart, live in a shitty apartment with a fake dad, and you're back in high school. You have fantastic timing, ogle a trash bag getting spaced, and Mark wants to chat. The scene has been set.
You know what's coming, isn't that helpful?
Just try not to pay too much attention to the gaps in your memory and the consequences of making a change in this world. Wouldn't want your favourite character to get hurt, would you?
Well. Hurt worse than the expected.

Summary
Across nearly a dozen worlds, Mark Grayson is defined to varying extents by the first words his soulmate will say to him, printed on his skin since birth. Whether he fights against, searches for, or simply craves them, it's a bond that can't be broken - even before the words are spoken.
Turns out, his soulmate was never in his world at all.
And with a soulmate, there's no second chance if he ruins it.
Obviously, you know what a soulmate AU is when you wake up in one after the court mandated traumatic death.
Less obvious is how to deal with the sheer number of soulmarks (ha) painting blurry words on your ribcage.
...Your soul is a gigantic slut, and you're about to make this everyone else's problem.

Summary
Dying and waking up as a half-breed Viltrumite is- alright, kinda wild. You'll give it that. Love the powers, not so keen on the failing empire with frankly, not the best planning skills.
And the wanton murder and conquering. Also...bad.
So clearly the answer is to fake your death, join Team Earth, and give the main character of your favourite comic some time to adjust to another Viltrumite being around, before you get all stategic and shit.
He definitely won't do something stupid like abscond from the planet to save alien bugs. Definitely won't leave you to become a PR nightmare of a superhero in his absence, and stir the pot of your brand of crazy with the lack of satisfying action.
Yuuuup.

Summary
You're in a bad timeline. The costume gave the game away real fast.
You just don't know how bad until Invincible has you by the throat after you witness him killing a criminal, and you ask him on a date.
In your defence - it was meant to be a joke. Not your fault the freak attached himself to the idea.

Summary
Mark's girlfriend has been missing for three months. His dad tried to kill her, and Mark failed to save her despite promising he would and-
Robin was right not to believe him.
When she finds her way back to him, there's nothing he won't do to keep her. Forever. He can't...
He can't do this without her. Never again.
While watching the video where you fall to your death just to get swallowed up by a giant black void, you come to a sobering realisation.
You will never be able to match that level of sheer drama, no matter how long you live. Being murdered in an alleyway was one thing, but this? Talk about kicking a man when he’s down.
Speaking of. It's time to make sure you won't be pulling another disappearing act on Mark. Might be a few steps to it, but...anything for him.
Always, anything for him.

Summary
Nothing good can come from being called into Director Stedman’s office. Especially for a GDA grunt like you, six months into an assignment that usually sees soldiers cycled out after a couple weeks. But if you were going to be re-assigned, you’d expect the dressing down from your commanding officer - not the big boss herself.
Yep. Herself. It’s that AU.
Mark has been locked up for three years with no hope of ever getting out when a new guard starts her first shift.
If he was smarter, he never would've let on how much he likes her. That he thinks of her as his guard, looks forward to every visit, especially the rare times she touches him. Even if he knows that to her, he's just her job, and the guy who failed to take over her planet.
If he was smarter, he wouldn't have been caught in the first place.
