“So you knew something was up. What did you think was going on?” Hayden asked, still just as confused.
“I thought it was someone who worked with the Raiders. My mind didn’t immediately go to a player. I’ve always thought Shane was kinda…odd. But, saying he is gay because he’s weird is a massive jump. I just figured it was an equipment manager or social media person. It could have even been an assistant coach's daughter or someone who had easy access to money and time.” Jackie leaned in to put a hand on Hayden’s shoulder. “It’s okay that you were blind.
