Summary
“Time to go,” Megumi confirms, softly. He reaches out and takes hold of Yuuji’s wrist, wraps his fingers around it in a light but pressing grip, and the second he starts walking, Yuuji readjusts so they’re holding hands instead. He squeezes, and Megumi squeezes back. Neither of them tense or pull away.
Megumi leads him onto the train after Nobara, and despite his unresponsiveness up until now, Yuuji follows—follows off the platform, follows down the aisle. Like a dog at their heels, he will follow them wherever they go, do whatever they tell him to do, no matter what. Megumi just has to take it, the knowledge that he is someone’s lighthouse just as the others are his.
Yuuji shuts down entirely in the aftermath of a mission, and it’s so unlike him it starts to scare his friends. They stick with him through it, and take care of him together.
