Summary
Harry Potter died at the gates of Hogwarts after a month of brutal torture. Severus Snape watched him fall. The Order saw the body. The world is in mourning.
However, in the Twilight between life and death, Harry made a choice. To save his father from a grief that would destroy him, and to ensure the safety of his his friends and family from Voldemort, Harry returns to cage the scattered fragments of the Dark Lord’s soul.
He returns not as the Boy Who Lived, but as an injured transfer student from Durmstrang with a tremor in his hands and a darkness in his magical core. Hidden behind a glamour and a lie, he must walk the halls of the school he died to save, forced to witness the devastating aftermath of his own sacrifice.(Summary will be updated as we go along.)

Summary
This is a one-shot that is part of the Things Outstanding story. I often have little "bits" that will never make it into the main story, but don't want to get rid of them entirely. So, ou may want to read that one first, but if you don't:
TLDR: Harry died, came back, and is in a heavy glamour, hiding from his family/friends until he takes down Voldemort and dies again. Everyone is sad.

Harry can't tell Severus the truth or offer comfort or a confession. What he can do is submit four and a half inches of parchment arguing that Volatile Valerian Root responds positively to interpretive lute music....One-Shot Throwaway
