Summary
“Hey, man, are you okay?”
Fuches startles away from him with a sudden bark of laughter, jerking his arm out of Barry’s reach so he can press the heel of his hand to his forehead, his eyes closed like he’s steeling himself against a dizzy spell.
“Jesus, Barry,” he grits out. “I thought you were asleep.”
Pre-series. Fuches is careless. Barry responds in kind. Somehow they always manage to bring out the worst in each other.

Summary
“So,” Fuches says. “No room for a couch, huh?”
And it’s funny, because even though Barry was perfectly aware of this fact throughout the entire process of moving in, it’s like this is the first time that he’s actually grasped the reality of the situation. That’s because this is the stage in the evening when they would usually crash side by side on the sofa to watch TV and get drunk. Now they’ve got the TV, they’ve got the liquor— but if they want a place to crash side by side, there’s only one option.
“Uh,” Barry says, his eyes averted, suddenly embarrassed by this oversight. “Yeah. Sorry. I’ve just been... y’know, sitting on the bed.”
Pre-series. When the boundaries are still blurry, it doesn't take much to stumble right off the edge of the map.

Summary
Fuches was the one to suggest they meet up at a bar to celebrate the reunion. Barry will wonder, later, if he already suspected what might happen next, and perhaps hoped that being out in public would be enough to enforce restraint.
Well, he was right about the first part.
Pre-series. Everyone knows that absence makes the heart grow fonder, but no one ever talks about the side effects.

Summary
Fuches protested that he hadn’t rolled a joint in years, but even so his quick, clever fingers made short work of the task, Barry watching in absolute astonishment as the papers and the pinches of green and the torn edge of a takeout menu became something else altogether, the transformation sealed with a long, wet swipe of Fuches’s tongue. The whole thing was so neatly done that it almost seemed a shame to burn it— though by this point, Barry is definitely glad that they did.
Pre-series. Fuches takes a detour down Memory Lane. Barry rides shotgun.

Summary
It happens on accident and without warning. Maybe Barry was too far gone and missed the signal— maybe they were both too far gone to realize it was this close— either way Barry has just pulled back for a last gulp of air when he feels a sudden splatter on his cheek and knows instantly that it’s too late.
Pre-series. An unexpected mess leaves Fuches feeling possessive and Barry feeling, well, possessed.

Summary
“Please— please—” Barry whines, not even sure what it is he’s asking for until it comes out of his mouth. “Can we just— stay?”
The last word catches in his throat in a painful hitch, his eyes and lungs burning with the immediate, absolute clarity of it. Yes. This is it. This is what he wants. This is all he wants, all he needs, and all he’ll ever ask for again. Feeling equal parts perfectly lucid and totally delirious, Barry tightens his arms around Fuches’s neck, his broken nose digging into the collar of the white t-shirt as he buries himself in the smell.
“Please,” he begs. “Please just stay with me.”
A direct continuation of the prison bathroom scene from 4x01.
