Summary
When Alastor gave himself up to Vox, he honestly expected this to happen. Alastor anticipated it, in fact. He even, perhaps, mentally prepared himself for it.
Alastor had, somehow, not accounted for the inclusion of Valentino. Which was an unfortunate minor miscalculation, but, he can deal with that as well.
It will all be worth it, in the end.

Summary
A few months after Alastor burned and therefore broke the contract between Angel Dust and Valentino, Angel makes the last minute decision to go to an awards show solo. Husk is busy on a first date of his own, Cherri's covering the bar, and Alastor isn't likely to want to accompany him to such an event.
Despite winning an award, the afterparty goes poorly. Mostly because of the Vees and their continued taunting, plus all the stares and whispers for showing up alone. Upon arriving back at the hotel, Angel seeks some comfort in Alastor, only to find Alastor is in a grumpy mood too.
Although Alastor offers to put own his discomfort aside for Angel's benefit, Angel can't stomach the thought. Thankfully, Alastor's got creativity and a fuckton of demonic magic on his side.

Summary
For two years, Angel has been dating both Alastor and Husk. And, has evidently been uncomfortable with Alastor's ownership over his other boyfriend, considering Angel has somehow managed to break Husk's deal right under Alastor's nose.
In fairness, Alastor also broke Angel's deal with Valentino in an entirely underhanded way, and he did not care that he'd done that. The question is, will Alastor really be able to tolerate a relationship with someone who could undermine him that way?
After a heat-of-the-moment knife play scene to work out some of his emotions around the whole deal... the answer, it seems, is yes.
