Summary

"Maybe tomorrow," Yingxing interrupts, before he could even finish asking, though not unkindly. He pets Dan Feng's head the way one might soothe an overeager hound, fingers combing slowly through dark hair caressing the base of one horn. "Oh, don't look at me like that. That face doesn't work on me." He stares back with beckoning droopy eyes, and his long eyelashes flutter. "Maybe it works a little. But I'm not letting you fuck me just because you're pouty.”
"I'll make it so good for you," Dan Feng tries anyway. Trying cost him nothing, and Yingxing rarely gave in on the first attempt; that persistence had become part of the foreplay. "You wouldn't even have to move—”

Summary
The scene in the bedroom stops him in the doorway.
Yingxing is kneeling at the low table at the foot of the bed, sleeves pushed up, absorbed in the careful motion of drawing a Dan Feng’s premium strale card through a small mound of white powder, dragging it twice, three times, until the pile thins into two clean lines on the lacquered surface. A rolled blue credit bill sits ready at his fingertips. He bends, presses one nostril shut with a knuckle, and draws the line up through the other in one swift breath, head tipping back after with a soft, satisfied exhale.
"Where did you even get that." Dan Feng says, and it doesn't come out as a question so much as a demand.
His husband looks up at him, eyes glassy and bright, and laughs. It's an easy, delighted sound, unbothered by the edge in Dan Feng's voice. "Does it matter?" He gestures loosely at the second line, an offer, not seeming to notice or care that Dan Feng hasn't moved from the doorway. "Casino hotels keep this stuff more available than the minibar, if you know who to smile at."
"That is not the answer I wanted, dear."
