Description:

A series of one-shots, some related, some not, of Omega Hitoshi in the world of Yandere Alphas as the axis of their obsession and possessive devotion.

Age-gap mates are common, as are stalking, possessive, and overprotective behaviors. Misogyny and sexism toward omegas of any gender heavily prevalent; little rights justified as omegas only need to be in the nest and den / omegas just need a firm guiding hand and alpha / omegas can’t understand the world or consequences of their behavior and so they need alphas and betas to guide, protect, and cherish them amongst many other beliefs. Feminist/Pro Omega views and organizations are seen as “dangerous” to “vulnerable omegas.”

4/22 EDIT — im taking this off anon. if any of my idk regular readers don’t like it im sorry but im just a whore 😔🫡

Notes:

an overview

This series takes place in a dystopic Omegaverse. Pheromones, scent, subvocal sounds, and behaviors are an integral foundation of society and culture. Mate and pack bonds can be physically and emotionally felt, though modern science has yet to figure out where said bonds are actually located within the body. Society/culture is very sex-based and positive as well as domestic discipline positive (mostly toward omega and those seen as more submissive). DD/spanking is seen as biologically/psychologically imperative for an omega’s functioning and health. There are public areas and rooms solely for sex and/or discipline purposes.

Dynamics (re: Alpha, Beta, Omega) are fixed whereas gender identity and sexuality are seen as more fluid. Roles are traditional—Alphas are Head of House/Pack, the providers and protectors; Omegas are den-dams/mothers and integral to inner pack dynamics, the hearth and heart of the den; Betas are the stabilizers, the balance between the two, a bastion of unshakable defense in emotional turmoil.

Alphas are commonly and culturally recognized as overprotective and possessive humans. They often have heightened senses compared to the other Dynamics, capable of scenting out even the slightest of change in pheromones. It’s often seen as “cruel” to deny an alpha what they want, regardless of reason. As a result, many alphas commonly exhibit Yandere-like traits and behaviors. Ruts take place in a 3-month cycle and tend to last up to 7 days. Matured alphas need to engage in intimate behaviors (sexual or otherwise) with packmates or else their health can dwindle dangerously. Pre-Rut symptoms often include increased protectivity and possessiveness, hostility and paranoia toward non-pack/loved ones, and increased need for physical touch and scent. Alpha pups commonly sequester an omega packmate in their nest and protect and take care of them for the duration of their Rut, scruffing the omega in the process. All alphas regardless of gender are referenced as “sire.”

Omegas are socially and culturally seen as nurturing and submissive, but a fierce defender when pack and/or pups are threatened. Things associated with omegas are: soft things, dresses, skirts, demure behavior, innocence, soft colors and pastels, emotional sensitivity, and more. As a result, may alphas and betas see it as their responsibility and duty to protect omegas and cherish them as treasures, keeping them in the den. Heats take place once a month and lasts from 5-7 days wherein the uterus lining becomes absorbed, rather than shed, and causes an increase in libido, emotional reactivity, and need for physical affection and touch. Neglecting an omega in Heat can cause their death or severe and long-term health consequences. Pre-Heat symptoms often include increased sensitivity, increased need for touch, scent, and reassurance, increased hunger, and increased nesting and scenting behaviors. Omegas can also show their possessive side in pre-heat when around non-pack. All omegas regardless of gender are called “dams” or “mothers.”

Betas are socially/culturally seen as soothing and grounding, and even more feral than an alpha when pack is threatened. Betas commonly make up the majority of packmates in addition to alphas and omegas, and packs without beta packmates are seen as unstable, feral, and dangerous. Betas also go through a process similar to Alphas and Omegas every six to eight weeks: Equipoise. Although betas may feel increased libido at this time, it isn’t necessary for them to engage in sexual intimacy if they don’t desire it. Equipoise is a time (four days) meant for a beta to restabilize and balance themselves and their packmates, through pheromones, scent, and touch. Betas also have more pheromonal glands compared to alphas and omegas, and secrete a soothing pheromone that can even calm a frenzied, feral alpha.

All Dynamics nest, but for omegas and pups it is a biopsychological need. There are even travel-nests one can create if on a long drive or plane trip.

terms to know

den-napped/napping: an omega kidnapped and brought into an alpha’s den for the purpose of mating and/or integrating them as pack. If a pack and/or mate bond forms within three weeks, it’s seen as legal and any potential charges are quietly dropped.
