Summary
When rising journalist Sybil Howell starts her new job in Metropolis, a chance encounter with charming reporter Clark Kent ignites an unexpected romance. However, strange solar flares cause her to experience terrifying nightmares and emotional surges linked to a mysterious past. A violent attack shatters her reality and awakens unexplained powers.
As Sybil struggles to understand her identity and her connection to Clark, she inadvertently activates her powers and is taken to the Watchtower by the Justice League. They offer her the chance to join their ranks, and after Superman's encouragement, she reluctantly accepts.
Sybil soon learns that being a superheroine comes with its challenges. As she trains and learns to control her abilities, her growing feelings for Superman complicate matters. Just as she begins to find her place, a dark secret about her origins surfaces, revealing her connection to a powerful enemy. Now, Sybil must navigate the tension between her destiny and desires, deciding who she truly is and whether she can change a future steeped in darkness.
