Aiden looked at me for a quick moment, then to my wrist, then back to me. He ended up grabbing it and dragging me along behind him to the seats around the big, hot fire. I could almost swear he heard my heartbeat from where he was because I sure could, it was beating loud as ever.
I know what Taylor has been talking about, maybe I’ve known it all this time and chose to ignore it, but all I know is that I see him in an entirely different way than her. I don’t see him in a “I love my friend” type of way, I see him in the…other way.
The realization of all of this hitting me at once felt like a left hook, right punch to the gut.
